Customised Project Management Training - Case Study
Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBW&M) approached a number of training organisations to undertake project management training. This was to accompany the publication of their revised internal project management methodology, SPRUCE (Specific Projects Running Under a Controlled Environment). SPRUCE is a practical, light touch methodology based on the principles of PRINCE2.

The training objective was to familiarise employees with the revisions to the internal methodology (SPRUCE) and provide them with practical project management tools and techniques they could employee on a day to day basis. Courses were to be run for employees across all parts of the organisation, from IT to front line service managers.

Customised 2-Day Introduction to Project Management Training Course

Our client is a well known commercial property owner with an impressive portfolio of commercial buildings and shopping centres. They recognise the value of project management but did not have training aimed at those running smaller projects that fell outside the standard corporate methodology.

Wellingtone was approached to develop a customised training course. We cherry picked content from our material library and quickly developed a two day course to meet the clients exact needs, business environment and current ways of working. All the material was then given the client corporate branding adding further weight to the fact that this was a client course, not an external course.
